The government of Nova Scotia, Canada recently announced a new clean energy plan that aims to add 300MW to 400MW of battery storage systems in the province before 2030.

Nova Scotia currently relies heavily on coal power, but has set a goal to phase out coal generation entirely by 2030. The plan is to increase renewable energy to provide 80% of electricity generation in Nova Scotia, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 90% relative to 2005 levels.

With rapid growth in renewables anticipated, Nova Scotia plans to aggressively develop wind and solar power, as well as battery storage. Despite making good progress, Nova Scotia still faces challenges in deploying energy storage and upgrading grids. Detailed pathways need to be laid out to meet the province’s 2030 decarbonization goals.

The combination of traditional media and new media, more professional and efficient media publicity with full channel coverage, and multi-media display.

The Cnocan offshore wind farm project located in the Scottish Highlands has received planning permission, which will include a large-scale battery energy storage system. The Cnocan wind farm is sited in the Ross-Cromarty area and plans to install 17 wind turbines with a maximum blade tip height of 175 meters, with total installed capacity of around 82 megawatts. The wind farm is expected to generate electricity for around 85,000 households annually. Over the project's operational lifetime, carbon dioxide emissions are predicted

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has announced $325 million in funding for long-duration energy storage projects to enhance grid resilience and protect communities. The funding, from the Biden Infrastructure Law, will support 15 projects across 17 states and one Tribal nation to mitigate the risks of grid outages caused by extreme weather events. The funding will help the DOE meet its target of lowering the costs of long-duration energy storage by 90% by 2030, and advance the Biden administration’s clean

Renewable energy company Enlight has commenced commercial operation of its Arad Valley 1 project in Israel, which includes 17MW of solar PV capacity and 31MWh of energy storage. This marks the second solar PV and storage project brought online by Enlight in Israel. Arad Valley 1 is part of a larger cluster of utility-scale solar PV and energy storage projects Enlight is developing in Israel, totaling 248MW of solar PV capacity and 474MWh of energy storage. The full project cluster is
